What Are The Benefits Of Visualization?
Yes, there are benefits of visualization! One of the greatest benefits for you is that visualization is a pleasant activity that makes you feel good. When you have quiet time with creative visualizations, it is a very relaxing time allowing stress to fall away. Enjoy this creative time! It is all yours and you can create whatever you want. Think big! This time is for you to dream big creating your ideal life. What do you want? First you must decide exactly what you want. If you don't know, I suggest you get clear, because if you don't know what you want, how can you expect to get it? This visualization time allows you to connect with your goal. See it and feel it, because it is yours! I love this time because I can live as I am already in possession of my goal. It's fun! And the thing is, when you really do achieve your goal you feel like you've already "been there, done that." I've had that experience over and over. It's almost as if achieving your goal is a relaxed feeling instead of a "jumping for joy" feeling because I've already experienced it over and over again. I expected to achieve my goal, it was not a matter of "if" I would achieve my goal, it was a matter of "when" I would. Get that and visualizations are such a blast! "Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible." Cherie Carter Scott Feel gratitude for your goal in your visualization! With gratitude it creates a positive energy around your goal.
See It And You Will Live It!
Well, that's an easy one....first off, as Nike says, "Just do it." Set aside time so that you are not rushed or having a list of things to do. There are many health benefits of visualization such as less stress, empowering your life, finding your own truth...For me, time in the morning works well, quiet time before I get out of bed and my mind is filled with all my kids "to do" list. Sometimes, I'll visualize while running, this is actually my favorite, because I have found that when I am really focused on my visualization I can get a mile or so down the road and still have a vivid mental movie going. This is an incredible free flowing experience! Some people love to visualize in the shower or another personal space. Do I listen to music? I don't have any set thing. Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no. I think you decide what works for you. I'll listen to music while I run and visualize. For me, how I start my visualize I will often ask myself a question. Questions might be something along the line of, "How will you feel when you are purchasing your new pearl colored hybrid SUV?" Or "How will I feel when I put on the old jeans and they slip on easily?" I love to incorporate my friends and family into visualizations. I'll see my friend saying, "You look great. Have you lost weight?" Or "Nice hybrid. When did you get that? Can I sit in it?" One of the benefits of visualizations is that they are yours to direct and empower! You are in control!
