Hello,
Well, call me cheesy but I alway thought that it would be cool to be in a magazine...but for a good cause and one that i can share with my students and use it to motivate them. For some reason teens now in day will take you more serously if you are famous...lame i know... but it's true. Anywho, again.. i thought that it would be great to do something cool if i was on a magazine and that i can show my kids that you can dream big, and that anythign is possible. Now for starters, i was like........how in the world am I going to be in a magazine? mmmmm not gonna happen in my life time. But it was always in my mind. Before I new it, i entered a contest where i was selected as an Inspirational women. It turns out that i now was a Mayballine New York, Women Inspiring Through Education, winner and was featured in the People en Espanol Magazine in teh 12/07 issue. I was like.... super super excited... then i had something tangeble to show my students that anything was defenitely possible... it was great....
