My Abundant Blessings
by Brenda Ivy
(Texarkana, AR.)
My husband of 42 years always enthuasiastic and supportive.
My children, 2 young women, building their own lives and families.
The men my daughters married are Christian and attend church with their wives.
My parents who were very loving, practical and hard working Christians.
A wonderful group of grandparents, aunts and uncles that taught me about fun, relationships, and integrity.
The life I have lived with my husband has been very different from my expectations, but I have learned much and made many wonderful friends in the various states we have called home
My husband's family share a totally different type of fellowship that I enjoy with mine. I am blessed to be part of their joy.
My new friends in the city we now call home. We've made a few very good friends here and enjoy visiting and sharing our home with them.
Life around me in and around our country home. Today a woodpecker dashed it's head on my porch. I brought it inside to recover. I was reminded of God's care for us and all the awesome creation that is around us. I was blessed by having the opportunity to assist this creature and remember that God knows when a sparrow dies and knows the number of the hairs on my head.
I am grateful for the opportunities I am given to serve in my church community and the blessings that I receive from those activities.
