Pay It Forward
Possibly you seen the movie, Pay It Forward. If you have, you know there is a way to pay others back.
Here's how it works. When someone goes out of their way to do something for you such as...
~~Takes care of your children
~~Gives you money
~~Is giving of spirit
~~Gives you a gift
~~Assists you when you are hurt or ailing
~~Helps you out of a difficult emotional place
~~Helps with provide for education
It can be anything, any way of giving of self. You know how you are not always able to pay that person back? Well, there is a way to honor the gift they gave you. Pay it forward.
When I was 20 years old I worked at a YMCA in Ohio and while working there I would go on the weekends from college and help them with their weekend groups. There was a older man there that had been a camper there since he was younger, he would come every weekend and help them out. His name was Tracey and whenever I would work with him he would always say, "Go get your books and study, I've got this handled." Always encouraging me toward earning my degree. I had heard that he had passed away and I've thought of him so many times in my life. He really left a lasting impression on me, the way to be so generous of spirit.
I always kept this in my mind, to honor him....to pay it forward.

How Can I Pay It Forward?
Honor Someone. Pay someone back by taking time with someone else. Read to children at school. Be a volunteer. Go spend time with others. One of the things I do, I spend time with my older friend, Bersha. She is 78 years old and even though we not related, I've visited with her for the last 15 years or so. I've heard all of her stories about her three boys over and over, but I love hearing them again. I always think to myself that this time is precious and to enjoy every moment. Do a Great Deed. Be of service to someone. Mow their lawn. Take their car for an oil change. Get groceries for them. Give her a Mother's Day out. Make a Donation. Possibly there is not a way to pay back money owed. Give to a wonderful charity. Give someone money to take a class or tuition. Have an Attitude of Gratitude. Gratitude is the conduit to greatness in your life. Move through life with gratitude for others and all that you have in your life.
